Clubs & Organizations
Faith Academy of Bellville has a number of student clubs and organizations. We encourage students to get involved, as these clubs and organizations provide opportunities to grow beyond the classroom. Expand the sections below to learn more about each one.
For Grades K - 5th:
Welcome to the Chess Party! The Knight School Chess Team is your school's official chess team and chess party.
Approach:
The Knight School's approach has had amazing success -- winning multiple state championships -- because our unique and unprecedented educational philosophy, "the chess party," is the perfect way to transform a complete beginner into a devastating chess machine. In this kid-centered classroom environment, we teach our kids every cool trick, strategy, and tactic in chessdom and our kids soon learn to love and master chess, their classroom, sports, and their home lives as well!
Time and Cost:
Class meets in your child's school or online weekly for 1 hour and 15 minutes.

ACTIVITIES
The chapter is highly active within the community, volunteering at the annual TFB Ag in the Classroom held at the Austin County Fairgrounds, TFB Canned Food Drive, and some of the members will attend and assist with the annual Champion Drive and 4H Coke Stand at the Austin County Fair.
The fall semester is Leadership Development Event season. Team and individual speaking events occur where students can participate at advanced levels (i.e., district, area, and state.) The spring semester is known as the Career Development Event season. Individual speaking and team events, which are career-based interests for each individual. Each team can attend and participate in invitational, area, or state contests.

MEMBERSHIP
To be eligible for active membership in a chartered FFA chapter, a student must be enrolled in a secondary Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources program. The Texas FFA Association/Texas Association of Future Farmers of America considers “secondary Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources programs” for grades 7-12.
To retain membership, a student must:
- Be enrolled in at least one Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources course during the school year and follow a planned course of study; either course must include a supervised agricultural experience program, the objective of which is preparation for an agricultural career.
- Show an interest in the affairs of the Association by attending meetings, striving for degrees of membership, and participating in other organized activities of the chapter.
- Pay all current District, Area, State and National dues by the date determined by the chapter.
- Display conduct is consistent with the ideals and purposes of the Texas FFA Association/Texas Association of Future Farmers of America.
All junior high students are welcome to be a part of KTP (Knights That Pray). The club gathers on Thursdays during break to pray for the school, country, and needs of other classmates.

The Student Council is a student-led organization committed to student life at our school through projects that provide benefits to our school and community while developing leadership among its members.
JUNIOR HIGH (JH) STUCO - ACTIVITIES
JH STUCO provides the snack cart in junior high. All money raised through the snack cart goes back to the junior high student body and staff. JH STUCO provides the student body with special breakfasts like Pancake Breakfasts at the beginning and end of school, goodies and treats for the Christmas party games, and snacks during the Iowa testing. At the end of the school year, JH STUCO thanks the teachers by providing them with a meal during finals.

HIGH SCHOOL STUCO - ACTIVITIES
STUCO organizes two fundraisers each year; the Candy-grams in December and Valentine's flowers in February. The fundraising money is used to support the school.
We also organize the "See You at the Pole" event, where we lead praise and worship for our country, state, city and school. We provide breakfast for the students once a year and donuts/muffins throughout the year. STUCO also supports opportunities to bless teachers and staff with small gifts.

The National Honor Society was founded to recognize outstanding student achievement in character, scholarship, service, leadership, and citizenship. For students to become members of this esteemed organization, they must meet all requirements including grades.

Membership in the National Junior Honor Society is one of the highest honors awarded to a junior high school student. Faith Academy’s chapter is one of more than 24,000 across the nation striving to recognize the total student in scholarship, leadership, service, and character. NJHS inducted 16 new members in February.
Activities
Faith Academy's Chapter hosts the annual Book Parade, Operation Christmas Child Collection at Faith Academy, and all the table activities at the Art Festival.

The Yearbook is a book of the students, for the students, by the students. The Yearbook will be a treasured memory for years to come for students as they look back on their grade school years. The 2023 - 2024 yearbook will be a celebration of the 30 Years of Faith Academy.
