In the Spring, Faith Academy of Bellville has a range of athletic opportunities for students including baseball, softball, golf, and track and field. Athletic physical and medical history forms may be found on the TAPPS website under the TAPPS Management System (TMS).
Baseball
Baseball is offered in junior high and high school. Team sports like baseball provide great opportunities for our student athletes to build their skills, including a strong work ethic, working with others, and performing under pressure.
“The way a team plays as a whole determines its success. You may have the greatest bunch of individual stars in the world, but if they don't play together, the club won't be worth a dime.” - Babe Ruth

Softball
Like all other sports at Faith Academy, this team plays for the Glory of God above all else. The Lady Knight softball players are first-class athletes on the diamond. There are many advantages to joining a team sport. Getting young women involved with softball helps them make exercise a part of their lifestyle and increases their chances of being a healthier adult. When softball players realize they are improving their skills and getting better at their sport, they can't help but feel a sense of accomplishment.
“We play this game with emotion and love. Coach always says ‘Emotionally, physically, mentally – come to the field prepared.’ Because if you don’t bring that to the field, you’re going to get beat.”
– Laura Berg

Golf
Golf is offered in junior high and high school. The physical skills involved in golf range from grip, stance, and swing. Building confidence, learning to be strategic as well as developing strong mental skills for golf, such as focus, concentration, and staying calm are all skills student athletes will develop through playing.
“Golf… is the infallible test. The man who can go into a patch of rough alone, with the knowledge that only God is watching him, and play his ball where it lies, is the man who will serve you faithfully and well.”

Track and Field
There are many different skills and techniques involved in the competitive track and field world. At first glance, we think of physical skills such as running, jumping, and throwing. However, other aspects such as having the commitment to consistent practice, a strong work ethic and a winning mindset are critical too.
"We all have dreams. In order to make dreams come into reality, it takes a lot of determination, dedication, self-discipline and effort." - Jesse Owens
