The Golf Tournament is an important annual fundraising event for the school, and each year Faith Academy of Bellville is richly blessed by our community and school families. Proceeds from the 24th annual golf tournament will support our elementary school classroom, library and student needs.
24th Annual Golf Tournament - Held October 30, 2023
Faith Academy of Bellville held its 24th Annual Golf Tournament at the Brenham Country Club in Brenham, Texas. We would like to extend our appreciation to the teams of men and women who played this year, those that made monetary donations as well as the many volunteers that helped make the tournament possible. This event was not possible without the ongoing support of our Faith Academy family and our community who have so faithfully participated in the past.
Our Winning Golfers
- First-place winners were awarded a custom belt buckle donated by Alan Jeffery-Broken Arrow Silver Company and a cash prize of $600 donated by K-T Galvanizing Co. Inc. and Roe Company.
- The 1st place “Pro” Flight winner was Team National Equipment Dealers: Jimmy Cones, Dusty Glover, Danny Glover and Tyler Glover.
- The 1st place “Amateur” Flight winner was Team CHAMPS: Chuck Tomlinson, Kyle Tomlinson, Bennie Kutra and Drew Kutra.
- Second place Flight prize of $400 donated by M&M Disposal and Hollis went to Branded Designs: Wilson Aldridge, Mark Luetge, Robert Selman and Gladys Keaton.
- The putting contest was won by Carter Schwartz (representing Texas Farm Credit).
- Closest to the Pin was won by Geoff Pospisil (representing Thompson Safety).
- Men’s Longest Drive was won by Joe Danna (representing the Texas Farm Bureau), and the Women’s Longest Drive was won by Dennis Swart (representing Apache Oil).
Many door prizes were also awarded, including “Round of Golf” Gift Certificates from The Clubs at Houston Oaks, The Golf Club at Texas A&M University, Weston Lakes Country Club, Brenham Country Club, Cypress Lakes Golf Club, Bellville Golf & Recreation Club and Legendary Oaks Golf Course.
